Albert G. Marsh of Auburn succumbed to a three-year illness at the Lee County Hospital in Opelika on Wednesday, May 4, 1960. He suffered a stroke three years ago and another three days before his death. He was 66 years of age.

Mr. Marsh was a native of Arab, in Marshall County, and a member of the Baptist church; however, he and his family moved to Auburn about 25 years ago so his sons could attend college. All three sons have doctor's degrees. They are Dr. Ralph Waldo Marsh of Biloxi, Miss.; Dr. James Leon Marsh of Ft. Worth, Tex.; and Dr. Frank Glenn Marsh of Atlanta, Ga.

Mr. Marsh is also survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Cox Marsh; three brothers, Dr. J.S. Marsh of Mobile; O.C. Marsh of Decatur; and M.C. Marsh of Arab; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie (Robert) Rice of Douglasville, Ga.; Mrs. Emma (John) Davis of Arab; and Mrs. Cora Nell Hays of Auburn; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6, in Opelika, at Frederick's Funeral Home chapel, with Frederick's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements and the Rev. Wiley Peebles officiating. Active pallbearers were Robert Ingram, Bobby Blake, Zack Sprayberry, E.L. Spencer, Pete Turnham and Jack Shannon.

Graveside services followed at 4:00 p.m. at the Arab Memorial Cemetery, in Arab, Marshall County. The Rev. Wiley Peebles and the Rev. Quinton Porch officiated and Gober Funeral Home directed.

The pallbearers at Arab were Dr. R.M. Barnard, Pat Rice, Kirby Howard, John Skidmore, Elmer Clotfelter and Leonard Knight.
