Cora L. ‘Miss Lee' Adams, 64, of Cleveland, died Saturday, May 31, 2003, at the Memorial Hermann SW Hospital in Houston. Funeral Services will be held at 2 Pm, Monday, June 2, 2003 at the Sterling Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with Rev. James Holt officiating and burial following at Palms Memorial Park in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 Pm to 9 Pm, Sunday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. Cora Lee was born September 6, 1938 in Cooper to parents; Earl and Velma South Hooten, and has resided in the Cleveland area for the past 10 years. She was a retired Clerk for Weingarten's Grocery in Houston after 20 years of service and had also been previously employed by Florien's Grocery in Houston. She was a member and greeter at the Cornerstone Church, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents and husband: John E. Adams. She is survived by her daughter: Tonya Drake and husband Wyatt of Willis, son: Mike Price and wife Joan of Conroe, five grandchildren: Mandi Yarbrough and husband Charlton of Willis, Tammy Babin and husband Sean of LA, Michelle Mahan and husband Sam of LA, Nicky Drake and wife Nikki of LA, and Robert Drake of LA, eight great-grandchildren: Justin, Brett, Tyler, Caleb, Christian, Colby, Cheyenne, and Celsie, sisters: Linda Preston of Irving, Sarah Casey and husband Steve of Conroe, and Edna Hornsby of Dallas, brother: Wesley Hooten of wills Point, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
