Daniel Roy Ford, 73, prominent farmer of the Floyd's Township section of Horry County, died at a Mullins Hospital Saturday morning.

He was a son of the late William and Flora Scott Ford of Robeson County, North Carolina. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Pee Dee Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his widow, the former Eunice Jackson; seven sons, Z.T. of Florence, R.A., J.B., and D.R. Jr., and H.B. Ford of Nichols; J.L. of Cerro Gordo, N.C.; and E.B. Ford of Tabor City, N.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Bernice F. Nunnery of Richmond, Va., and Mrs. Troy L. Hooks, Jr. of Nichols; one brother, Boyd Ford of Nichols; two sisters, Mrs. Everett Small of Fair Bluff, N.C. and Mrs. R.R. Jackson of Sellers and 16 grandchildren.

Masonic funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 Monday afternoon from the Floyd's Methodist Church in Buford by a former pastor, the Rev. J.G. Ferguson, assisted by the Rev. E.K. Scoggins and the Rev. J.L. Pierce. Burial will follow in the Floyd Cemetery.

Mullins, Jan 25 - A Masonic funeral services will be held for D.R. Ford, 73, Monday at 3:30 p.m. from the Floyds Methodist Church in Horry county.

The services will be conducted by a former pastor, the Rev. J.G. Ferguson, and his present pastor, the Rev. E.K. Scoggins of Nichols, and assisted by the Rev. J.L. Pierce. Burial will follow in Floyds Cemetery.

Mr. Ford was a native of Robeson County, N.C., a son of the late William and Flora Ford. He was a farmer of Floyds township, a member of the Floyds Methodist Church, and a member of the Pee Dee Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his widow, the former Eunice Jackson; seven sons, Z.T. Ford of Florence, H.B., R.A., J.B., and D.R. Ford Jr, all from Nichols, J.L. Ford of Cerro Gordo, N.C., and E.B. Married twice. His first marriage was in 1908. She and her infant son died in 1909. In 1911 (or 1912, Horry County records say 1911) he married the sister of his first wife. They had 9 children together.
