She was the daughter of John and Sarah Dalton, of whom little is known. Mary Ann Dalton married Peter Huff July 29, 1852 in Athens, Clark County, Missouri. They had nine children: Mary, Louisa, Henry, Ginettie, Andrew, Alice, Sylvester, Albert and an infant daughter born June 1872 in Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska. The other children were all born in Missouri or Kansas.∼10-13-2021
I just found out from Kansas census year 1860 that my 3rd great grandpa William Willits was his neighbor of Peter Huff. William's wife Nancy Jane Pearson. Her sister was Charlotte Pearson Dalton was wife of Riley Dalton. Riley and Mary were siblings.
