Karr Services at La Porte Wednesday, La Porte City. Ia.
Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday in the Johannsen funeral home here for Mrs. Julia Karr who died Sunday at her home here. Mrs. Karr had been ill for several months and had been bedfast for the last three weeks. Death was the result of a heart attack suffered four weeks ago. Born Julia Guilfoyle, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Guilfoyle, Feb. 5, 1864, in Bourbon County, Kan., she was married to Johnathan Wade Karr on Oct. 4, 1888. Surviving her are five children, Clifford, at home: Monroe, La Porte City; William, Shellsburg; Mrs. Mabell Oyler, Weiser, Ida.; and Mrs. Jeannette Dawes, Vinton. She was preceded in death by her husband, four children, her parents and several brothers and sisters. Burial will be In Bear Creek cemetery. The family requests that no flowers be sent.
