Alvina Suzanne Bowling, 92, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, in Wichita Falls.

The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Hoa Nguyen, pastor, celebrant. Rite of committal will follow at the Holliday Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Alvina was born Feb. 21, 1916, in Archer County, Texas, to the late George J. and Rosa (Hoepfner) Wimmer. She enjoyed gardening, and loved to cook and take care of everyone. She will be missed by all that knew her.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Marion Bowling; and brother, Adolph Wimmer.

Survivors include two sisters, Juanita Neeld of Bowie and Helen Egenbacher of Fort Worth; granddaughter, Susan Tibbetts; grandson, Jacob Robertson; two great-grandchildren, Cody Griest and Jodi Underhill, all of Wichita Falls; three great-great-grandchildren, Emma Underhill, and Terin and Delaney Marshall; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008, in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.
