ADAMS, Clyde Wayne, (Buck), 61, of Blue Ridge, went to be with his Lord Friday, March 16, 2001 at his home after a brief and courageous fight with cancer. He was born October 21, 1939, a son of the late Herman Preston Adams. He was employed with Advance Auto Parts. He is loved and sadly missed by his mother, Ruth Gray Adams of Blue Ridge; three daughters and sons-in-law, Andrea and Peter Cousin of Virginia Beach, Lisa and Lewis Shilling of Roanoke, Amy and Ron Stiteler of Roanoke; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Beth, both of Roanoke; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rochelle and L. G. Graham of Salem, Barbara and Jerry Huffman of Blue Ridge, Jean and Wendell Sanders of Vinton, June Thompson of Buchanan; brother and sister-in-law, Herman P. (Butch), Jr. and Carol Adams of Roanoke; the mother of his girls, Martha Adams of Vinton; dear friend, Linda Gordon of Roanoke; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2001 at Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev. George E. Stevenson, Rev. Cynthia A. Lasher, and Rev. Joel Wegner officiating. Interment will follow in Glade Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carilion Hospice of Roanoke, 1917 Franklin Road, Suite B, Roanoke, Va. 24014. Arrangements by Lotz Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel.
