Angelina I. (Pio) Russo, 82, of 20 Savoy Ave., died Tuesday at home. She was a secretary at the former Associated Grocers Cooperative in Springfield for 27 years. Born in Springfield, she was a 1936 graduate of the High School of Commerce and moved to East Longmeadow in 1951. She moved to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in 1988. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Mission Church in East Longmeadow and a member of St. Ann's Sodality and the Italian Cultural Center, both in Springfield. Her husband, Amerigo "Al" Russo, died in 1992. She leaves a brother, Pasquale H. Pio of Somers, Conn.; and two sisters, Gina Brisbois and Henrietta Foisy, both of Enfield, Conn. The funeral will be Monday morning at Tazzini Funeral Home and St. Paul's Church, both in Springfield, with burial in Longmeadow Cemetery . Calling hours are Sunday afternoon and evening.
