Curtis R. Batty, beloved husband, father, grandpa, and friend, passed into the arms of his loving Father in Heaven on November 24, 2010 in Evanston, Wyoming.

He was born September 6, 1922 in Wallsburg, Utah to George Leo and Hazel (Curtis) Batty.

He married Elaine Wright on May 17, 1943 in Charleston, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Charleston, Utah before moving his family to Randolph, Utah.

He honorably served his country in the Army during World War II. Curtis enjoyed his family, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and telling stories. His sense of humor will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Elaine, sons: C. Eugene Batty, of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Wayne (Kris) Batty of Laketown, Utah; and Gary (Jilynn) Batty of Sandy, Utah; and daughters: Darlene St. Clair of Chandler, AZ; and Hazel (Galen) Myers of Evanston, Wyoming; twenty-two grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Don Batty; grandsons, Duane Batty and Robbie Batty; a son-in-law, Jim St. Clair; and his nine brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Randolph Ward Chapel. Friends and family may call at the Church on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Interment with full military honors accorded will follow in the Randolph Cemetery under the direction of Crandall
