"Mr. and Mrs. Keith W. James of 3724 North twentieth Street were found dead in the crushed wreckage of their car on Fifth street Tuesday morning 17 hours after they were trapped beneath the wall of the R. T. Dennis Building.

When rescuers freed the car from heavy debris, the found Mr. and Mrs. James locked in each other's arms. They had been reported as visiting friends in South Waco on Monday afternoon and started home. They were driving east on Fifth just as the tornado hit and splintered the Dennis building down on their car.

James was a professor at Baylor University."
