Samuel Hurlbut is a Revolutionary War veteran. He enlisted July 9, 1775 serving 5 months and 10 days in the 9th Co. of the 8th Regiment of Connecticut Troops. He again re-enlisted the following year and was in the Co. of which Cornelius Higgins, his father-in-law, was Captain. He served near New York.
