Homer married Cora E. Lewis March 24, 1907, and they had two daughters, Reta Darlene and Cecile Leota Woody.
Homer had many business ventures in his life. He and Cora had a Restaurant and Bakery, he was a realtor, a Wells Fargo employee, operator of a dray service, and a partnership with his relative Orrin Usher, the Woody & Usher, purchasing agents for Continental Creamery where they bought Butter, eggs, poultry and cream.
Homer passed away February 11, 1944, in Solomon, Kansas, and is buried next to his wife Cora in the Milo Cemetery, Barnard, Kansas.
