Howard was born May 31, 1921, in Marshalltown, IA, the son of Ray and Bessie (Brutsman) Hendrickson. He graduated from Cedar Rapids High School in 1939. He then went on to get a two-year degree from Coe College. Howard served The United States Navy during World War II from 1942-1945.
On Jan 15, 1947, Howard was united in marriage to Winnie Bingham in Clinton. Winnie passed away in 1989. On May 14, 1991, Howard was united in marriage to Lucille Durkee in Thousand Oak, CA. She survives him.
Howard worked at DuPont. He retired after 31 years.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille; one son, David (Linda Kay) Hendrickson; two grandsons, Kevin (Kristine) Hendrickson and Kent Hendrickson; and two great-grandchildren.
