GASTONIA - James Bradford Blow, 55, died Jan. 31, 2010.
Born and raised in Raleigh, he was the son of the late William Lowery Blow and Sara Hunt Blow Mansfield.
Jim was a graduate of NC State University and had over thirty years experience in horticulture. He was employed with Logan Trading Co. in Raleigh. In addition to his love of gardening, he also enjoyed hiking, fishing, golf and music. Jim never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Bradford Blow; sister, Jackie Davis; nephew, Brian Davis.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Jacobs Blow; son, Jordan Andrew Blow of Gastonia; step-father, Frank Mansfield of Raleigh; sister, Clara Lehman of Charlotte; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
The funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia with the Rev. Dr. James C. Helton officiating.
Burial will be at Sandy Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
