Ralph E. Dailey, 86, of Bluffton, died Thursday at the Ossian Health Care and Rehab.

He formerly resided at Tocsin and at Angola and retired in 1978 after 15 years as a carpenter for Don Shive Inc.

He was born in Wells County March 23, 1914 to Irvin R. and Margaret M. Householder Dailey. His marriage at Covington, Ky., on Nov. 3, 1940 was to Beulah M. Grim, who died Aug. 17, 1995.

Mr. Dailey was a veteran of U.S. Army service during World War II.

He is survived by two daughters, Janet Rogers of Angola and Darlene Lewis of Tulsa, Okla; a son, David Dailey of St. Paris, Ohio; a brother, Robert Dailey of Bluffton; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A brother is deceased.

Services at 2 p.m. Sunday will be at Elzey & Haggard Funeral Home at Ossian and burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery at Tocsin.

Calling hours at the Ossian funeral chapel will be Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 noon until time for services.
