Janice Marie Jewell, 71 years old, of Sioux Falls, passed away on Friday, February 26, at the Dougherty Hospice House, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Janice was born on September 20, 1938 in Sioux Falls, to parents Claude and Myrtle (Bartlett) Jewell.
Visitation for Janice Petit will be Tuesday, March 02, from 5 – 7:00 PM at Miller Funeral Home, 13th and Main. Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 03, at Miller Funeral Home, with the Reverend Laura Borman, officiating.
Janice's loves in life included being with her family. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Linda (Dave) Costine of Colman, SD; sons Larry (Lori) Morrison of Garretson, SD; Mark (Teresa) Morrison, Sioux Falls, SD; Scott (Bridget) Oveson, Garretson, SD; and Bob Oveson of Sioux Falls, SD. Janice's family also include
9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister Ramona Rueland of Sioux Falls, SD, other relatives and her many friends. Janice also loved working in her garden, especially with her flowers. She loved to needle point Christmas ornaments, go camping and fishing, and Janice really loved her dog "Peanut". She will always be remembered as a loving and kind person.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents, husband Cliff Petit, and sister Jackie.
"We all love you so very much and will miss your great support and loving touch and smiles. Mom, we love you. Gone for now, but forever in our hearts."
