Ellsworth and Eva moved to Kansas from Iowa, Ellsworth worked a farm when he was 18 and living at home, but at 32 he, his wife and daughter as well as his wife's parents are living in Coleman Twp, Washington Co, KS and he is a teacher - 1895. Ellsworth and Eva moved to Buffalo, OK in late 1900, with Eva's mother. Ellsworth taught school and farmed, and they filed for homestead north of Eva's sister Aggie's homestead. After OK became a state in 1907, he was the first person elected to the position of County Clerk for Harper Co, and was reelected for several more terms. Sometime between 1920 and 1930 Ellsworth and Eva moved to Dawson, Tulsa, Tulsa, OK (Dawson is a city within the city of Tulsa, Tulsa, OK) where they were in 1930 and 1940 per US Fed Census, and in 1934 per US City Directories.
