William is the only surviving child of Gertrude Castenholz from the Catenholz Brothers Company in Muskegon, Michigan. William had two sisters who died as infants and his mother died during child birth for Barbara.

William went on to become a partner with his Father ( John S. Anderson ) in a very successful meat butcher and packing company that still exists today in 2020 ... run by family descendants. William and Bessie went on to have 3 children including: Gertrude Mabel ( Anderson ) Johnson, Flora D. Anderson and John Stanley Anderson.
