The 1880 U.S. Census for the family of James C. Banks, conducted 18 Jun 1880, lists a daughter named Rebecca. It shows her age as "1/12 April." There is no current (2016) family knowledge of twins being born or of a Rebecca who died as an infant. The 1880 U.S. Census is the only evidence indicating that Hassie's given birth name may have been Rebecca. She was always referred to as Hassie.
