Leo Robert Tremblay, 84, of Prescott, Ariz., passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, in the Prescott VAMC Hospice Unit and has gone home to be with his Lord. He was the beloved husband of Velda J. (Cobaugh) Tremblay.

Born in Oakland, R.I., on Nov. 19, 1926, he was the son of the late Victor and Laura (Duschane) Tremblay.

Leo enlisted in the U.S. Navy during WWII achieving rank of Seaman First Class.

Leo was employed by the University of Miami, where he conducted research on a marine vessel for the marine biology department.

Leo was a member of the Chino Valley Mounted Posse and was a former volunteer for the Paulden Fire Department and the Calvary Chapel in Prescott.

In addition to his wife, Leo is survived by two sons, Kevin D. Tremblay and his wife Carolyn of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Brian R. Tremblay and his wife Adrian of Orange, Calif.; one daughter, Lynn Brand and her husband Jon; two stepsons, Danny Nelson and his wife Debbie of Lewisville, Texas, and David Nelson of Dallas, Texas. He was the grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of six.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Leo's viewing on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, from 3 to 4 p.m. at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott. Funeral services will be on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at 1 p.m. with military honors in the Bob Stump Prescott VAMC Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at Heritage Memorial Park in Dewey.
