Stephen Louis Boatwright, 49, of Glenwood died of cancer Friday at home. Memorial services will be at 10:30 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Boatwright was born in Milwaukee and lived in Denison, Suffolk, England, and in Des Moines before moving to Glenwood in 1978. He worked in sales and was a member of the Catholic Church, treasurer of the Optimist Club and an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn, three sons, Lance of Lincoln, Neb., Anthony of Bellevue, Neb., and Jason of Omaha; his mother, N. Jean Boatwright of Des Moines, three brothers, Nick of Seattle and Wayne and Mark, both of Des Moines; four sisters, Gayle Evans of Mason City and Christine Halsten, Alice Bossuet and Therese Madonia, all of Des Moines; and two grandchildren.
There will be a wake service at 7 p.m. today at the church. Pererson Mortuary is handling arrangements.
