COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Mary Evelyn Breland, 82, were held today, Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Cookeville Funeral Home. Burial was in Double Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Breland died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 22, 1926, in Putnam County to the late Hubbard and Lucy Pharris McBroom.
Mrs. Breland was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Her family includes two daughters and sonsinlaw, Elaine and Jerry Carr of Baxter and Candy and Bob Harville of Double Springs; a sister and brotherinlaw, Rachel and Charles Harris of Baxter; two grandchildren, David Harville and wife Amanda of Baxter and Renee Scott of Cookeville; four greatgrandchildren, Chelsea and Zackary Scott and Aaliyah and Dylan Harville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Breland was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Breland, and a sister, Deane Breland.
