Joyce E. Horn, age 83, entered this life on February 18, 1927 in Flint, MI and entered her heavenly home on September 17, 2010. Joyce faithfully served as Professor of Music for over 40 years at Cornerstone University. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Camilla and Thomas Vanden Berg; granddaughter, Stephanie (Daniel) Kroll and great granddaughters, Annika and Lauren; sisters, Betty Picken of Fairmont, MN, Sharon and Russell Sparks of Loveland, CO; sister-in-law, Shirley Robertson of Grand Blanc, MI and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Rev. Maurice Horn; and brothers, Ivan Robertson, Keith Robertson and Dean Robertson. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff funeral home. A service of celebration for her life will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Northland Baptist Church, 4162 Hunsberger Dr NE. A private family burial will take place at Cascade Township Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Cornerstone University Music Dept.
