Goldie K. Elrod age 80 of Midland, South Dakota, died June 9, 1992, at the Providence Hospital in Everett, Washington Goldie K. Ray was born February 1, 1912, at LaMoure, North Dakota to Guy E. and Mae (Weisser) Ray.As an infant she moved with her parents to Midland, South Dakota. She grew up and received her first ten years of schooling in Kimball, South Dakota prior to graduating from Midland High School in 1932.Goldie was united in marriage to Arthur A. "Artie" Elrod on June 25, 1930, at Midland, South Dakota.They farmed south of Midland, South Dakota for several years prior to moving to Seattle, Washington where they resided, during World War II, from 1943 to 1945. In 1945 they returned to the farm south of Midland where they lived until moving into Midland in 1947.In 1962, Goldie moved to Denver, Colorado where she made her home. She worked as a clerk in a fabric store until her retirement in 1977.In 1977 Goldie moved to Marysville, Washington where she has continued to make her home until the time of her death.Grateful for having shared her life are her two sons, Keith Elrod of Seattle, Washington, and Leonard Elrod of Gillette, Wyoming; two daughters, Jean (Mrs. Ray) Hunter of Nisland, South Dakota, and Phyllis (Mrs. Al) Skow of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sylbernia Orr of Bothell, Washington; and a host of other relatives and friends.Goldie was preceded in death by her parents
