He was born December 5, 1931, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Walter and Lillian (Burrall) Nash. On October 13, 1951, he married Margy Hubbard at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Davenport. They divorced in 1983.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War, 25th Tropic Lightning Division and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.
Prior to his retirement he was a carpenter for many years in the Chicago area and also in the Quad Cities. Donald was proud of his daughter Pam's involvement with the Greyhound Rescue & Adoption program in Utah, where memorials may be sent to P.O. Box 12492. Ogden, UT 84412-2492.
He is survived by his ex-wife and friend, Margy Nash, Davenport; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Michael Shane, Roy, Utah; two granddaughters, Chyna Lamb and Sarah Shane, both of Utah; and brother, Kenneth Nash, Wheeling, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Walter, Jr. and Robert.
