Robert Bailey "Roddy" Alston, longtime resident of Missouri City, died Saturday, October 10, 1992 in Houston, Texas. He was born on September 15, 1934 in Hattiesburg, MS to Thomas Fisher and Barbara Ellen Bailey Alston. He attended schools in Houston and received a BS in Chemistry from the University of Texas in 1956. In 1956, he joined the Texaco Research and Development Laboratory, now known as the Exploration and Production Technology Department, where his work produced a number of oil-related U.S. Patents. He is survived by his wife, Sue Brinkman Alston; and children, Robert B. Alston, Jr., DDS (Donna) of Hewitt, Texas and Lisa Ellen Alston Newton (Dwayne) of Missouri City, as well as five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1992 at the Sugar Land Bible Church.
