Granville Amick, 94, of Hominy Falls, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010. Born July 22, 1916, at Leivasy, he was the son of the late William and Martha Bragg Amick. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Darlene Hudkins Amick; one great-granddaughter; four sisters; and seven brothers.
Granville was a truck driver, beginning to drive for his dad at age 13. He supplied safety timbers for local coalmines. He also enjoyed farming and raising cattle. Granville was a man of strong faith, supported his community, and was a member of Penile United Methodist Church of Hominy Falls.

Services were held Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel in Rainelle with Rev. Harold Duskey and Rev. Gary Eisenman officiating. Entombment followed at Wallace Memorial Mausoleum in Clintonville.
