ROSSANO, John J., 95, of Brandon, Florida passed away on December 1, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family after an extended illness. Mr. Rossano was a WWII veteran serving in the Medical Corp for 42 months. He was a member of Nativity Catholic Church. Mr. Rossano was a native of Clarksburg, West Virginia where he was employed at the Veterans Hospital as chief of dietary services for 25 years. He grew up the 2nd of nine siblings, six sons and three daughters. He was predeceased by brothers, Louis and Pat Rossano and sisters, Frances Moore, Rose Cuppari and Jennie Medina. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary; son, Philip Rossano of Buckhannon, West Virginia; daughters, Joyce Rossano Girgenti and her husband, Dr. Anthony Girgenti of Tampa and June Oliverio Hill and her husband, Herb of Lithia; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and brothers, Joe, Ernest and Felix Rossano. Pallbearers are his four grandsons, James Oliverio, Jr., John Oliverio, Dr. Gregory Girgenti, and Joseph Girgenti, and two great-grandsons, Johnathon Wagner and Michael hall. There will be visitation at Nativity Catholic Church on East Brandon Blvd on Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 9:30AM to 10:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM at the Church in the small chapel. Interment will follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens on Brandon Blvd. The family is receiving flowers or contributions to LifePath Hospice
