Funeral services for Henry J. Dorn, 78, alderman of New Holstein's First Ward for 31 years, who died of injuries received in a two-car crash near Random Lake Monday, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

The solemn requiem High Mass will follow brief family rites to be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral Home.

The Rev. Hubert Nilles, pastor, will be the celebrant, assisted by the Rev. Lambert Scanlan, pastor of St. Mary's Church, Menasha, and former pastor of Holy Rosary Church; and the Rev. Raymond Zagorski, assistant pastor of Holy Rosary Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The Holy Name Society and Catholic Knights will meet at the church at 8 p.m. Wednesday to recite the rosary.

Alderman Dorn, a native of Hilbert, was born Aug. 14, 1887, a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Dorn. He attended parochial schools in the Hilbert area.

On Oct. 1, 1912, he was married to Anna Basler in Chilton. He was a retired employee of the M-B Co. of New Holstein.

He had been a resident of New Holstein for 44 years and served on the Common Council for 31 years, from 1931 through 1948 and then again since 1952. He represented New Holstein's First Ward.

He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Parish, the Holy Name Society, Catholic Knights No. 266 and the New Holstein Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors are the widow; three sons, Richard and Leo of New Holstein and Bernard of Houston, Texas; a brother, Edward, of Chilton; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A daughter preceded him in death.

EDGAR F. LANG, 75, ALSO WAS OPERATOR OF FEED FIRM


Edgar F. Lang, 75, a resident of South Farmer Street, Princeton, and retired superintendent of the Menomonee Falls school sister, died Sunday at University Hospitals, Madison, following a lingering illness.

He was born July 16, 1890, in Jefferson, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lang. He married Doris Jamieson Aug. 19, 1925, in Cambria. A veteran of World War I, he studied at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for two years and received his Ph.B. and Ph. M. at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Following this he taught in the Jefferson County school system, was principal of schools in Cambria, Belmont, Princeton and Wyocena and superintendent of the Menomonee Falls schools. He moved to Princeton in 1943 and operated a feed business until his retirement.

Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Miss Miriam Lang, Madison and Mrs. Ruth Weiske, Ft. Sheridan, Ill.; two sons, Franklin, Beloit and David, Ripon; one brother, Raymond, Madison; two sisters, Miss Mable Land and Mrs. Edward Streich, both of Jefferson and five grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Wilsey Funeral Home, Princeton. Funeral services wi9ll be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Immanuel Evangelical United Brethren church, Princeton, Rev. Earl Huelster officiating. Burial will be in Green Wood Cemetery, Jefferson.
