George R. Abbey was the son of George J. and Violetta George Abbey. He was born near Xenia, Aug. 1, 1876. He married Myrtle Smith Feb. 16, 1898, in Mantey; she preceded him in death April 24, 1951.
Mr. Abbey was a member of the Xenia Masonic Lodge and attended lodge for 32 years and 10 months missing only two nights; one night he was sick and the other night he sat up with a brother Mason who died that same night.
