She was the wife for 55 years of the late Paul "Slim" McDonnell who died in 1998.
Born in Milford, a daughter of the late Raymond A. and Mabel (Ferguson) Fenner, she was raised and educated in Upton, and was a graduate of Upton High School.
Mrs. McDonnell worked for many years as a receptionist at the former Kartiganer Hat Co. in Upton, and later for over 17 years as a clerk for the Massachusetts Dept. of Welfare until her retirement in 1988.
She was a lifetime communicant of Holy Angels Church, and was a past president of the Upton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Her hobbies and interests included family, reading, crossword puzzles, and word games.
She is survived by 2 sons, John and George McDonnell of Upton; a brother Raymond Fenner of Harelton, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Dorothy Bishop and Arlene Lindell.
