Educator, Volunteer, Community Leader. Gwendolyn Thomas was a tenured professor at West Los Angeles College for many years, and a faithful member of West Angeles Church of God in Christ. She believed her role was to develop the "whole person" - academically, socially, culturally, globally, politically, financially and spiritually. Ms. Thomas won several awards, and was included in "Who's Who Among America's Teacher's" in 2006, 2004, and 2000. She contributed to and supported "Save Africa's Children", an organization devoted to addressing the poverty and AIDS epidemic facing orphans in Africa.
