THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, September 22, 2000, page 8: 'Mother Addie Lee Pierson, 811-8th NE, entered into eternal rest at 5 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at the home of her daughter in Daly City, Calif., where she had lived for more than six years. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Overcomers Church of God in Christ with Elder Rondie Williams officiating. Burial will be in Fairland-Littlejohn Cemetery. The body will lie at the church from noon until service time for viewing. Maxey Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Mother Pierson was born March 28, 1905, in Paris to William and Mary Etta Jones. She attended school in Paris and was married to C. H. Pierson Dec. 25, 1921. She united with the Church of God in Christ under the pastorage of the late Elder H. L. Kirven. She was a faithful member. When her husband became founder and pastor of the Overcomers Church of God in Christ for over 50 years she accompanied him in leadership steadfastly and after his death she continued her membership until ill health resulted in her moving to Daly City with her daughter and son-in-law Earl Wilson Sr. Surviving are her daughter, Virginia Wilson (Earl Sr.) of Daly City, Calif.; a caring and devoted sister-in-law, Mamie Morgan of Paris; daughter-in-law, Ethel Pierson of San Francisco, Calif.; cousin, Louiva Webb of Paris; one niece, Mary Etta Thurston of Compton, Calif. and her siblings Clarice Prince of San Francisco and siblings; the Battles of various states; grandchildren, Walter Wilson (Irene) of San Francisco; Earl Wilson Jr., (Vicky) of Livingston, Calif., Charmayne Wilson (Ervin Castle wonderful conversationalist) of Vallejo, Calif., Dwight Wilson Sr. (Luz Marina) of Rodeo, Calif.; and Gwynn Etta Wilson-Greenwell (Michael) of Vallejo; 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Charlie Lee Pierson. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Wilson Sr., Earl Wilson Jr., Dwight Wilson Sr., Walter Wilson Jr., DaShawn Wilson, Anthony Ashe, Marcel Wilson, Earl Wilson III, Dwight Wilson Jr., Joshua Greenwell, Jordan Greenwell, Michael Greenwell, and Ervin Castle
