She was born December 1, 1916 at Estherville, the daughter of Walter and Grace (Bass) Ross and attended Estherville Schools, she remained single.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and had served as secretary-treasurer; was president of church guild and long time member of the choir. She has worked at the Estherville Abstract Co.; for the late Harry Coffie in County Attorney office; and as legal secretary to Rosendahl and Forsyth; was a member of Emmet County Historical Society and Wa-tan-ye past president; Estherville Federated Garden Club and Federated Woman's Club; Daughters of American Revolution.
Survivors include a nephew Rodney Ross and wife Kathy of Phoenix, Ariz.; great nieces: Mrs. John (Jodi) Ringsdorf, Estherville; Amy Ross; Mrs. Walt (Tracy) Crumpler, Mindy, Billie Jean and Marcy Ross all of Phoenix; a great-great niece, Chelsey Ringsdorf and great-great nephew, Nathan Crumpler; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Gertrude Ross, Estherville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Belva.
