OCALA -- Dr. John Robert Lukas, 78, died April 24, 1991, at his residence.
A native of Detroit, he moved here in 1972 from Merritt Island. Dr. Lukas belonged to Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force in World War II where he was a flight surgeon with the rank of major. He belonged to the Marion County Medical Society and was past chief of staff with Marion Community Hospital. He belonged to the Ocala Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian J. Lukas, Ocala; three daughters, Lori mat, Gainesville, Lee Carrity, Jupiter, Barbara Jarrard, Gainesville, Ga.; four sons, John V. Lukas, Ocala, Roger T. Lukas, Ocala; Garron M. Lukas, Champaign, Ill., Preston Jones, Flint, Mich.; and 13 grandchildren.
