Funeral services were held at Hargreaves Chapel near here yesterday for Mrs. Annie E. Bennett, formerly of this section, who died last Friday in a hospital in Orlando, Fla., after a short illness.

The last rites were conducted by the Rev. W. A. Bowan of Axson, pastor of the Zion Hill and Sunnyside churches. Pallbearers were Sam Crews, Jack Thigpen, Frank Carroll, Harmon Bennett, Charles Joyner, and Buck Corbett.

The deceased, widow of Ben Bennett, is survived by two sons, Harvey Bennett of Millwood, and Willie Bennett of Gulfport, Miss. and five daughters, Miss Annie Bennett of Lake City, S. C., Mrs. Rena Herrin of Orlando, Fla., Mrs., Mamie Hurst and Mrs. Lettie Wesson of Winter Park, Fla., and Mrs. Edna Kirkland of Lakeland, Fla.; also five brothers, D.C. McLendon and L.H. McLendon of Douglas, C.H. McLendon and E.A. McLendon of Pearson, and B.E. McLendon of Nicholls.

W.L. Hinson and Company are in charge of arrangements.
