Geneva Hardcastle

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for Geneva Rose Hardcastle of Eugene, who died Dec. 6 at age 83. The family chose not to list the cause of death.

She was born Dec. 8, 1926, near Walton to Warren and Emma Mabe Surcamp. She married John Hardcastle on Nov. 14, 1947, in Eugene. He died Nov. 11, 2007.

A graduate of Elmira High School, she worked at a creamery, was a homemaker and was a child care provider.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Bowen of Renton, Wash., Dawn Bowman of Eugene and Janice Northrup of Usk, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A granddaughter, Dawn Bowman, and a grandson, Michael Mayer, died previously.

Burial will be at Walton Cemetery. Remembrances to National Parkinson's Foundation.
