Based on several records Andrew Jackson Sartin was born between 1827-1832 in Monroe County, Kentucky. In the 1830 census for his father John Sartin, it is listed that their are two children under the age of 5. This would be Andrew and his brother Alfred. Alfred was born in 1827 and sister Elizabeth was born in 1832, so I'm guessing Andrew was born about 1830.

Civil War Soldier: Co. B, 5th KY Cavalry, USA.
Enlisted on 10/10/1861. Records say he was a Saddler. He was discharged by a surgeon on 02/14/1863 due to having a hernia.
