He was born Decmeber 10, 1914 in Danville, AR to the late Arthur Jackson and Willie Kennon Baker. He was a retired Quality Control supervisor for Brewery Manufacturer, a WW II Army Veteran, memberof the North Little Rock Protective Order of Elk's Lodge, Danville Lion's Club, very interested in the Senior Center, and enjoyed playing dominos.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Ernest and Arthur Baker.
Survivors include, his wife, Virginia Whiteside Baker; a sister, Mary Faye Baker of Danville, AR; step-daughter, Judith Dimodana of Phoenix, AZ; a niece, Katie Warren of Reno, NV and very special cousins.
Funeral service was June 30, 2003 at the Danville First Baptist Church. Interment was in the Old Danville Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville, AR.
Pallbearers were Phil Moudy, Waymon Sides, Philip Alexander, Mike Chaffin, Jim Holbrook and Joe Powers. Honorary were Danville Lions Club members.
