Mrs. Herbert Caswell died Saturday evening at the home of her mother, Mrs. Jackson, in the east part of town. She had bee ill several weeks with quick consumption for several days the end was momentarily expected. Mrs. Caswell was a young woman not quite 23 years old and the husband and three little children have the sincere sympathy of their friends in the sorrow that has come to them. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Evangelical church, where Rev. Lohr conducted the last rites.

She is gone where there is no sorrow, no sickness, or grief or pain And although our loss is heavy, we remember it is her gain

For her life was hid'n with Jesus, sustained by his saving grace But now the veil is parted and she see's him face to face

"Tis a blessed thought for the mourners, that their loved one is now in heaven And singing the praise of his glory, with the host of the forgiven

You cannot mourn for your loved one, she has passed from the earthly Light Into the glorious fullness, of Heavens supern d light

But our loss if great, we remember, the little ones that for God She was anxious to train and nurture, yet we strive to kiss the rod

Somewhere and someway sight is given, and then we can understand But now through the night of trail, we must trust Gods loving hand

There's a husband whose heart is bleeding, a mother whose tears fall fast For the little one who came from God, who lay in her arms the last

There are brothers and sisters weeping, who have joined with the new arrival In the song of Redeeming love, we may someday go to meet her

Though to us, she may not come, but it will be a glad and happy day When we all are safe at home
Mrs. A.P. Jarvis

Card of thanks was signed by: Herbert Caswell, Mrs. Andrew Jackson, Minnie Jackson and family, Charles A. Jacoson and family, Wm. Jackson, Emma Galagher and family, Gertie Mastin and family.
