George Alton Hill, 80, of Mullins, SC was a retired railroad telegrapher and agent with the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. Mr. Hill was born in Columbus County, NC and was a son of the late Moses Hill and Apsey Caroline Phillips Hill. He had four siblings who preceded him in death, Fannie Hill Davis, Agusta "Gussie" Hill, John Everette Hill and Onnie Moses Hill.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Hope Lee Hilburn Hill, one daughter, June Huggins Jarrett, three grandchildren, Sandy Huggins Nesmith McCaskill, Nancy Lee Huggins Staton and James (Jimmy) William Huggins, Jr., three great grandchildren, Joey Staton, Trip Nesmith and Nancy Hope McCaskill.
