Alice A. Conner formerly of Houston, TX passed away peacefully Nov. 9, 2010 surrounded by family. Alice was born on December 20 in Adamsville, TN, the daughter of Paul and Blanche Crumby. Alice was united in marriage to Pat F. Conner on August 14, 1948 in Houston; he preceded her in death in 1995. She worked at Smith Industries, Houston, TX for over 25 years. Alice was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Houston, TX and was very active in her volunteer work for Heights Chamber of Commerce and Doss Community Center. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Alice will be remembered for her faith and courage, sharp wit, sweet smile and her loving heart. Survivors include her daughter, Patti (Terry) Sears, Atkinson, IL; two grandchildren David (Mary Ann) Waters, Navasota, TX; Joanna (Scott) Stanley, Spring, TX, two great-grandsons Jimmy (Jamie) Brill, Spring, TX; Brandon Stanley, Spring, TX and two great-great grandchildren Shelby and James Robert Brill. Her husband, a brother, Jerry David Crumby, and a great-grandson, Cody Brill, preceded Alice in death. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service celebrating Alice's life will be held December 11, 2010 at 11:00 at Our Savior Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Alice's memory to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
