Gary Lee Gillespie, 54, of Hurst, Texas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Gillespie of Ewing, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002 in his home. Gillespie worked for Motorola for nearly 37 years and was a human resources manager with Motorola. While at Motorola, Gary was involved in many committees, his favorite was the Olympic committee. He was an avid camper and enjoyed fishing with his friends. He held memberships in the Sons of the American Legion Squadron No. 379, Moose Lodge No. 1003, both in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Survivors include his wife, Diana Gillespie of Hurst, Texas; his parents, Ivan and Lucille Gillespie of Ewing; three children Leane Gillespie of Euless, Texas, Darren Gillespie and his wife, Denise, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Michelle Gillespie of Hurst; two grandchildren Adara Gillespie and Devin Simkins of Fort Worth; two brothers and their wives, Kenny and Patty Gillespie of Durham, and Larry and Dorothy Gillespie of LaGrange. Services were conducted Saturday, March 9, in the Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel in Colleyville, Texas. Burial was in Bluebonnet Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held later in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Help To Others, in care of Connie Dyal, P. O.
