Impressive Funeral Services Held and Vernal Second Ward for J. H. Evans--
Funeral services for John H. Evans, 59, farmer and stockman of Brush Creek, were held at the Vernal Second Ward Chapel, Thursday of last week at 3:00 pm. The floral offerings were beautiful and showed the high esteem in which deceased was held by his friends and relatives. The music was furnished by a mixed quartet, consisting of Mrs. Mae Jorgensen, Mrs Vera Witbeck, Fred Stone and J. H. Horrocks, with Mrs Elva E. Davis as accompanist. The services were under the direction of the First Ward bishopric.
William H. Siddoway and H Walter Woolley were the speakers and told of their acquaintance with the deceased over a period of many years. The opening prayer was offered by Wallace Calder and the benediction by Ernest Eaton. The quartet sang "I Need Thee Every Hour," "Oh, My Father," "Nearer My God to Thee,"
