Mr. Richmond was in his 91st year, having been born August 14, 1848, son of Hiram L. and Maria Shryock Richmond.
He was graduated from Allegheny college in 1870, and was admitted to the bar on August 6, 1873. He served one term as Crawford county district attorney, three terms as Meadville city solicitor and was district referee in bankruptcy for 37 years, retiring in 1935.
The deceased was much interested in art and had painted a number of worthy pictures in oil. One of them, "Farnsworth's Charge At Gettysburg," now hangs in the Soldiers' Memorial hall in Pittsburgh.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Grayson Richmond, and a daughter, Miss Gail Richmond.
