Mrs Mamie O Painter, 42, died at her home Saturday morning, June 29, near Roaring Run at 9 o'clock. Funeral services were held from the residence Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev D E Murray of the Baptist church. Burial was in the family cemetery near the home.
Mrs Painter is survived by her husband M H Painter and seven children; her father, William Campbell of Rockbridge; two brothers, Ed and Cliff Campbell of Rockbridge, and five sisters, Mrs Odessa Painter of Botetourt, Mrs Drew Bradley, Mrs Mattie Hamilton, Mrs Maggie Robertson and Mrs Ima McCormick all of Rockbridge.
