Mrs. M.W. Sell Dies Suddenly At Her Home
Mrs. Clara B. (Garver) Sell of 310 East Main street, Roaring Spring, died unexpectedly this morning at 7 o'clock at her home after being ill for a number of years.
She was born at Aughwick Mills, Huntingdon county, May 6, 1871, a daughter of Samuel S. and Mary Jane Shearer Garver.
Mrs. Sell was educated in the Huntingdon county schools and attended Juniata college. She taught school for a number of years at Red Hill and Otilia, S.D., and Roaring Spring. She also served as bookkeeper for the Roaring Spring Blank Book company for a number of years. She was married to Matthew W. Sell July 15, 1928.
Surviving are her husband, one brother, Howard of Roaring Spring and two sisters, Eliza, wife of James W. Smith of Roaring Spring, and Mrs. Eliza Adams of Mount Union; several nieces and nephews and one step-daughter, Mrs. Charles W. Hiney of Roaring Spring, also two grandchildren and two greaet-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sell was a member of the Trinity Methodist church, Roaring Spring, and taught Sunday school for 50 years. On her retirement she was serving as superintendent of the primary department of the Sunday school. She had received a 50-year pin for service in the Sunday school. Mrs. Sell also was a member of the Roaring Spring Women's club and the Woman's Society of Christian Service.
Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening.

SELL--Funeral services for Mrs. Clara B. Garver Sell of 310 Main street, Roaring Spring, will be held Thursday morning at 10.30 o'clock at the home in charge of Rev. H.C. Stenger, jr., assisted by Rev. J. Merrill Williams and Rev. H.Q. Rhodes. Interment in Greenlawn cemetery, Roaring Spring. Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening. Please omit flowers.
