QUINLAN — Jerry Ray "Jake" Quattlebaum Sr., 70, a resident of Irving, passed away on Dec. 4, 2010.
His graveside service was Dec. 7 at 3:30 p.m., at Lakeside Memorial Park, with Brother Bob Layman officiating.
Mr. Quattlebaum was born Oct. 10, 1940, in Shady Grove, the son of Willie Earl and I. V. Smithers Quattlebaum. He was a truck driver for Gould Battery Company and a member of Teamsters Union 745.
He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Stokes and her husband Ronald of Scurry; son, Terry Quattlebaum of Bothel, Wash.; six grandchildren, Christine Jones, Jerry Ray Quattlebaum III, Amber Hallman, Brandi Thompson, Ashley Franklin, and William Quattlebaum; two brothers, Billy G. Quattlebaum and his wife Wynell of Cash and Jimmy Earl Quattlebaum of Celeste; sister, Janice Penson of Greenville; six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Quattlebaum; his parents; son, Jerry Ray Quattlebaum Jr.; sister, Fannie Mae Smith; and brother, W. E. Quattlebaum.
Arrangements were under the direction of Quinlan Funeral Home.
