Benjamin Stone was the son of Rev. Benjamin Stone and Anna Asbury. Married Sarah La Rue in Green Co. Pennsylvania, December 22,1804. In 1807 he Moved to Butler Co. Ohio. Was a soldier in the War of 1812. Moved to southeastern Indiana in Febuary of 1816. settling in Dearborn Co. (now Ohio Co.) about 8 miles S.W. of Rising Sun,close to the Switzerland Co. line. He spent the reminder of his life there. He was buried in the Stone Graveyard on the west line of the farm. Now called the Mt Carmel Stone Cemetery.

Other Stones in this cemetery are, Julia d/o Elijah, Isaac s/o Elijah ( my ggg grandfather) Elizabeth w/o Elijah. Zerelda d/o Isaac an Nancy Stone, Nancy Stone w/o Isaac Stone. Abraham Stone Mar 15, 1842. Jerimiah Stone Oct. 12 1821 - Oct 11,1851.

The Stones lived were the Dorell home stood. A lay church was in the N.W.corner of the cemetery. The Stone family sold the farm to Gibbons. Gibbons needed money so one of his boys would not have to go to war.(civil War) so he sold the farm to Peter Dorrell. There was a iron fence in front of the cemetery until 1951. It was removed because ot its condition after many years of existence.
