C C Johnson (son of Curtis Johnson and his first wife) the appointed Administrator of Sara Jane's estate stated the following: "...would respectfully state that Sarah Jane Johnson the widow of Curtis Johnson dec late of said Lamar County Texas departed this natural life on or about the 5th day of February 1873 intestate..."
It was also stated in probate papers in the Court term of July 1873 that I.W. (Isaac) Hendricks and J.P. Hendricks (Sara's father and brother) were assigned guardianship to the five minor Johnson heirs (J.H., J.R., Frankie J., Stiles, Richard). It appears at this time that the Hendricks guardians also assumed adminstrative duties of the estate of Curtis and Sarah Jane Johnson.

I believe that the donation of the land for the church yard was give byJohn Biard (It had been their homeplace) and Rebecca Stone Biard was the first person buried there. Could this be correct?
